Electronic Arts Litigation

Electronic Arts is the leading producer of interactive football software including the Madden NFL, NCAA Football and Arena Football franchises.  Starting in 2004, Electronic Arts signed a series of exclusive and anticompetitive agreements with the NFL, the NFL Players Union, The Collegiate Licensing Company and the AFL.  These agreements essentially eliminated all competition from the interactive football software market.  The Paynter Law Firm represents plaintiffs in a class action lawsuit seeking damages and other relief on behalf of consumers nationwide who purchased interactive football software from Electronic Arts.  Plaintiffs allege that as a result of Electronic Arts’ anticompetitive conduct the price of interactive football software is substantially higher than it would be in a competitive market.  The Paynter Law Firm is co-counsel in this action with the law firm of Hagens, Berman Sobol and Shapiro LLP.  For a copy of the current complaint in this action, click here.  If you purchased a copy of Madden NFL, NCAA Football or Arena Football from Electronic Arts and would like more information on this litigation please contact The Paynter Law Firm through the contact form on this website.
